1. Service Description

Compose is a Gmail Add-on that provides AI-powered email intelligence, including Daily Briefs, threat detection, priority triage, Decision Cards, Strategic Review, and automatic Gmail label organization. The service is operated by Simarahitam Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

2. Platform Dependency Notice

Compose relies on Google's Gmail API and Gmail Add-on platform. Changes to Gmail's API, add-on framework, or DOM structure may cause temporary or permanent service interruptions. We will make best efforts to restore functionality but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to third-party platform changes.

3. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Compose
You must have a valid Google/Gmail account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
One account per person; sharing credentials is not permitted

4. Data Practices

What We Collect

Account information via Google Sign-In
Email content submitted for AI analysis (subject, body, sender, recipients)
Gmail OAuth tokens (stored encrypted)
Daily Brief history and analysis records
Payment data (via Razorpay)

What We Do NOT Do

Train AI models on your personal data
Sell your data to third parties
Share data with advertisers
Read your emails outside of requested analysis

PII Redaction

Before email content is sent to AI providers, our PALADIN NER system redacts personal information including names, phone numbers, addresses, and financial data.

5. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

By using Compose, you consent to transmitting email content (after PII redaction) to third-party LLM providers for analysis. Compose explicitly disclaims liability for how AI providers handle data transmitted to them.

AI analysis is provided as guidance only. You are solely responsible for decisions made based on AI recommendations, including but not limited to: email responses, meeting scheduling, task creation, and threat assessment actions.

6. Subscription Plans & Billing

6.1 Free Trial

All new users receive a 14-day free trial with up to 3 Daily Briefs. No credit card is required for the trial. At trial end, you must subscribe to continue using the service.

6.2 Plans

BYOK ($5.99/month): Unlimited Daily Briefs with your own API key
Starter ($7.99/month): 5 Daily Briefs/month with hosted LLM
Unlimited ($14.99/month): Unlimited Daily Briefs with hosted LLM

6.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Razorpay
Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes
You may cancel at any time; access continues until end of billing period

6.4 Refund Policy

All subscriptions are non-refundable, including service interruptions due to third-party platform changes. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: Data retained while account is active
Post-expiry: 15-day archival period, then Gmail auto-disconnected
Account deletion: 30-day soft delete, then permanent removal
Payment records: Retained 7 years (legal requirement)

8. User Rights

You may access, rectify, export, erase, or delete your data (GDPR/DPDP Act compliant). Contact support@simacompose.com. Response time: 30 days.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Compose for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
Interfere with the service's operation or other users' access
Use automated scripts to access the service beyond normal usage
Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
Submit content designed to manipulate or exploit AI analysis

10. Intellectual Property

All Compose software, designs, algorithms, and content are owned by Simarahitam Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Your email content remains your property. AI-generated analysis and recommendations are provided for your personal use only.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compose and its operators shall not be liable for:

AI analysis errors, incorrect threat classifications, or missed threats
Decisions made based on AI recommendations
Third-party service failures (Gmail API, LLM providers, payment processors)
Loss of data due to service interruption
Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Compose is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI analysis will be accurate or complete.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Compose against claims arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled per our Data Retention policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
